Client: Graffiti Highway | Centralia, Pennsylvania

Brief: Once a stretch of Route 61 near the abandoned town of Centralia, Pennsylvania, Graffiti Highway became an unlikely landmark, attracting visitors and artists who transformed the deserted roadway into a colorful canvas of street art.

Using my drone, I captured aerial footage of the infamous highway, offering a unique perspective on the vibrant artwork that covered the pavement. From above, the layers of graffiti, bold colors and surrounding landscape revealed a visual experience that couldn’t be fully appreciated from the ground.

This personal project combined my interest in exploring unique locations with aerial videography and documentary storytelling. The resulting footage preserves a bird’s-eye view of one of Pennsylvania’s most unusual landmarks before the graffiti-covered roadway was buried in 2020.
